You remember the intersection where you proposed, the neighbourhood where you grew up, or the city you lived in for a year and still miss. A standard map can locate those places, but it was not made for your wall.

Inkroads uses real geographic data and gives you control over the crop, type, color, and detail. The finished poster marks a specific place in a format you can live with.

Real OpenStreetMap data

Roads, paths, waterways, and building footprints come from OpenStreetMap, a geographic dataset maintained by contributors around the world.

Server-side rendering pipeline

Inkroads renders posters with maplibre-gl-native and composites them at full resolution with node-canvas. The browser preview uses the same map style as the final file.

MapLibre style rules

Each theme defines road hierarchy, label collision rules, water, and buildings in MapLibre. Major roads read more strongly than side streets, and important labels take priority.

Live preview before rendering

The browser canvas updates as you pan, zoom, or switch themes. Inkroads uses those settings for the full-resolution render.
