Inkroads (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our map poster generation service at inkroads.io (“Service”).

Cookies and Tracking

We sort cookies into four groups. Only the first runs without your permission. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, nothing in the other three groups loads until you opt in. Everywhere else they run until you turn them off. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Necessary

Sign-in sessions, checkout, fraud prevention and the record of your cookie choice itself. We also store a short-lived cookie holding the country your request came from, so we know which rules to apply. These cannot be turned off.

Functional

The Chatway support chat widget, which sets its own cookies so a conversation survives a page reload. Decline this and you can still reach us at [email protected].

Analytics

Google Analytics, which tells us which pages, themes and sizes people actually use. Separately, we run Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool that stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you, so it runs for everyone and is not part of the choice above.

Marketing

Google Ads and the Pinterest tag. These measure whether an ad led to a purchase and can follow you across other sites. If you are signed in and have accepted this group, we pass your email address to Pinterest so it can match your purchase to an ad you saw.

We use Google Consent Mode v2, so the Google tags receive your choice directly and hold back advertising and analytics storage until you allow it.

We keep a record of each choice: the categories you picked, the time, the policy version, your browser’s user agent, your country and a one-way hash of your IP address. That record is our proof of consent under Article 7(1) of the GDPR. We keep it for two years.

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have the rights listed in section 8 plus the ones below. We honour them for every US resident rather than checking which state you are in.

We do not sell your data for money

We have never sold personal information and we do not accept payment for it. We do “share” it in the narrower sense California uses: when you allow the marketing group of cookies, Google Ads and Pinterest receive identifiers, and your email address if you are signed in, so they can measure ads across other sites. California treats that as cross-context behavioural advertising, so you get the right to opt out of it.

How to opt out

• 01Use the "Your privacy choices" link in the footer and turn off the Marketing group. That takes effect right away on this browser.
• 02Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or extension. We read that signal and treat it as an opt-out of sharing, with no further action needed from you.
• 03Email [email protected] if you would rather we handle it, including on behalf of someone you are authorised to act for.

Sensitive information

We do not collect sensitive personal information as those laws define it, and we do not use any data to profile you in a way that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

No retaliation

Using any of these rights will not change your price, your poster quality or your access to the Service. We answer requests within 45 days and will tell you if we need the extension the law allows.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy policy.
